I spent about 11 hours today at a conference on gay parenting. I was volunteering for the kids' day camp, and spent most of my day with about a dozen kids between 2 1/2 and 5 years old. (By the way, gay parents are just as annoying and quirky and wonderfully loving as any parents. But they have to put up with unimaginably ignorant and rotten shit to be just like everyone else.) There was singing and crafts and snacks and silliness and I am one worn out Mazzie. My favorite part was when 3-year-old Carlos boldly announced, "I have to pee!," ... and then did.
Walking Buddy on V Street, I came across the bush below. Anyone?

On the street named for me! Azaleas! Look for some red ones. P.S. Always move away when a kid says she/he needs to pee.

I am sure you told me 100 times when you were here; I am sure every time we passed one I asked what it was and you told me again. How is it everyone else I know knows, but I can never remember? I'm plantarded.

Definitely an azalea, although this time I can't tell you the species for sure.

Azaleas

flowers make me happy.

I only wish I had a camera that captured the fading, golden twilight the blooms were bathed in.

Well, now that I have a ridiculous amount of camera equipment, if you want to borrow the leetle camera just yell.
