"Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson today apologized for calling for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. "Is it right to call for assassination? No, and I apologize for that statement," he said in a written statement."

In a comment to his white-coated handlers, Roberts was overheard saying "Sometimes the voices in my head give me conflicting information."*

*okay, yeah. i added that last line.

Did I ever tell you about the time I played "Lincolnshire Posy"? I was in the Oswego High School Wind Ensemble. It was some Summer symposium out at the Eastman School of Music in 1989 or 1990. We worked with Fredrick Fennell, who was the guest conductor for the workshops on conducting.

Yeah, I had some very good experiences growing up. :)

I wonder if our paths ever crossed in high school ... I went to Corcoran and did all sorts of band stuff. Hmm. I think the last time I played it was at a summer thing at West Gennessee.

OHS Marching Band hated the West Genny band; they won year after year by doing the same show year after year. Even when they finally changed their show after 2-3 years, they faltered in the beginning then either won or came in a very close 2nd to CNS. We were always a distant 4th against WG, CNS, and Liverpool.

Pat is so far gone it's starting to get a little tedious. His comments on Scotland being 'a dark, menacing place, full of homosexuals' (as he was trying to work out a deal for financing of the 700 Club with Royal Bank of Scotland) shows you some measure of what kind of a fool he really is.

As stupid, bigoted comments go, that one is downright hilarious! It really makes me wonder what sort of nightmares keep him awake in the wee hours...
