1. Who thinks I should get footie jammies in time to wear them to Buddha camp?

2. Who thinks it would be terribly funny to wear a sweatshirt that says "STFU" at aforementioned Buddha camp, a week-long silent retreat?

3. Who thinks it's terribly inappropriate for me to call a week-long silent meditative retreat "Buddha camp"?

4. Who are you?

1. Neutral response.
2. Too funny! Do it.
3. Perfectly apt description IMO.

1. Yes.
2. Me, provided you didn't wear it all week.
3. Someone who deserves a week-long, silent, meditative boot up their humourless bum!
4. Me. Just me. I'm much better at it than anyone else could ever dream of being.

Recommendation: ask at the outset if there's a "safe word" in case the silence is too much. :)

1) why not? 2) sure 3) I don't 4) I ask myself that all the time.

"Tofu is gross" is one of my favorites. When my yoga teacher made a positive comment about it, I replied "Aren't you glad it doesn't say 'yoga sucks'?"

How many times will you phone post to your journal during said week?

POSER!

1. Footie jammies are always a good idea. Except for me, because I'm too fussy for them.

2. Me!

3. Someone without a sense of humor.

4. Somebunny who cares.

I think you should get the footie jammies ONLY if they have that weird vinyl crap on the bottom that is great for sliding across tiles. Because if it has the grips on the bottom, they are pointless.

ME!

I called the Christian camp I went to when I was a teenager GodCamp, so why not?

I'm Shawn, and I approve this message. :)

1. Me. And I'm already imagining you pulling a pair of boots over them to walk Buddy in the mornings.

2. I'm torn on this one. I see the humor, but at the same time I really don't like being told to STFU.

3. Not me.

4. Apparently I'm a wombat.

I think you can get footies with STFU on them thereby ummm...killing two birds with one stone.

From the statues and images I seen of Buddha, he seems to be laughing pretty heartily, so it may be more ironic calling it Buddha camp seeing as you have to be quiet :(

As to who I am, have to things with pictures on them which indicates my name is either "New York State Drivers License" or Verizon...on the other hand the labels on my clothes idenitfy me as "made in china".

I believe I will need to contemplate these things in silence...at buddha camp in footies with STFU on them....

1) Everyone. If they made them for 6'2 250lb men I would have a pair...oh and they would have to be skid proof as I fall down on plastic feet

2) How could you not wear that shirt. It should say it on both sides.

3)It is good. Inappropriate is for congressmen and priests

4) Buddha

I think Buddha had a sense of humor...

1.I'd prefer big fuzzy slippers with bunny ears, but there is no accounting for taste...

2.I think you should dress as a mime, myself.

3. I think it's cool. Will you do any marshmallow toasting or make s'mores? No telling of ghost stories or singing camp songs since it's a silent retreat, and Kum by ya and Michael Rowed the Boat Ashore are right out anyway.

4. I ask myself that question every day.

5. I think it's awesome that you are doing this.

on footies...

Hi... I don't know you, but I found your journal through mhaithaca's ...
anyway-- I own a pair of those footie pajamas. I really like them, except that the trap door isn't as convenient as it looks... and I usually have to potty at least 3 times before settling in to bed, so it's kinda annoying to have to unbutton the whole top part of the pajamas to actually use the bathroom...
other than that, <3...

4. I am me.

1. Who thinks I should get footie jammies in time to wear them to Buddha camp?

If you'd like them.

2. Who thinks it would be terribly funny to wear a sweatshirt that says "STFU" at aforementioned Buddha camp, a week-long silent retreat?

More tacky than funny, to me.

3. Who thinks it's terribly inappropriate for me to call a week-long silent meditative retreat "Buddha camp"?

Fine by me.

4. Who are you?

Its not important.

1. Hey! I have footie jammies, and I was thinking about wearing them if the two-day retreat next month is a sleepover. Zennies keep cold temples, but I will WINNNN!

2. I have a t-shirt that says "PAIN SOLVES EVERYTHING." I have been fighting the urge to wear it to a retreat for years. I think you might have just pushed me over the edge.

3. So, if it is a CAMP, then you get to, uh, mime ghost stories over the campfire?

4. KATZ.

From: [identity profile] chiba.livejournal.com

Footie jammies are always appropriate.

STFU or "sit down and shut up". Either way, dig it.

The retreat sounds like Buddha Camp, so have fun. I called God Camp when I was a teenager "trying to get laid", so who's to say what you're allowed to call it?

I'm not sure who I am lately, but I'm pretty sure I'm not somebody else. Yet.

A little late on this one, as I'm sure said Buddha camp has already passed. But to answer the questions:

1. Great idea.
2. Even greater idea.
3. Innappropriate in the best way possible.
4. Rusty, and I just popped over to your journal from a post about weirdo Lather2002 being banned from the DC_for_Experts comm where I saw your cool icon.

(And I just noticed that I put two "n"s in "inappropriate", but I'm gonna leave it and use it later to describe uncouth things that one would do at an Inn.)
