Corelle, despite its claims to the contrary, is not unbreakable. I have proven this many, many times.
I proved it again just now, when a baking dish fell all of three inches onto my kitchen floor. And shattered. The shards were very sharp and cut several bags as I tried to clean them up before my dog ate them. He finds broken glass/ceramics irresistibly delicious.
On the upside, the kitchen is clean.
And there's coffee brewing.
I'm banning myself from the kitchen for the remainder of the day. And the dog.
Considering getting therapy.
