it's been a good weekend.
saturday was spent running around. [livejournal.com profile] phillyexpat and i went to the maryland sheep and wool festival in the northern wilds. it was unreal, in many, many ways. from the amount of traffic getting there to the huge array of yarn, patterns, colors, knitted objects, and people ("overwhelmed" and "stunning" were the words philly and i used most). we stopped and had a delicious lunch and knitted for a little while, but the rest of the time was spent petting, oogling, gasping, dreaming, or driving.
i dropped philly home, walked the dog, and got back in the rented scion xb (silver box on wheels) to get get elizabeth in SW. we stopped for a much-needed coffee on the way to [livejournal.com profile] microbie's for her spring fling.
what a great time. boccie, great food, good company, scrabble, nice weather, and lots of laughs.
by the time i got home i was wiped out.
sunday was spent accordingly.
knitting, tv, laundry, a nap, some wine.

introspection is not always good.

but quiet is nice.

mom got the roses i sent and loves them. she and dad will be here in a couple weeks between their stays in PA dutch country and colonial williamsburg.

i briefly wished i'd sent a couple influential women in my life mothers' day cards, but didn't spend much time thinking about my own motherhood. life moves forward.

while i was doing dishes, thoughts about love were racing through my brain. i tried to put them down but they seemed self serving and pathetic.
