It just keeps getting better
I just got a call that I almost ignored because I didn't recognize the number, even though it was local.
I am glad I picked up. It was the Presidential Inauguration Committee calling to invite me to a reception at the White House on Wednesday. President Obama's first, on his first day in office.
The committee sent an email yesterday, inviting me to apply to be selected, so I did. I've lived within about a mile of the White House for seven years and I have never been. Glad I waited.
