the other doggie daddies and mommies in the neighborhood not being able to tell/thinking i'm nutso --
people who dick me around by not having their shit together -
feeling unimportant and pushed aside as a result --
not being with my family for thanksgiving -
not being with them because i thought i'd be immersed in a new job that isn't close to starting yet --
cooking for myself on thanksgiving -
not having alleno's cheesecake --

buddy being fine despite swollen face ++

having a job and great opportunities ++
spending thanksgiving cooking and watching football with my boyfriend ++
losing 12 pounds in 2 weeks just in time for thanksgiving ++
wonderful dinner with friends, filled with laughter (and twatwas) ++
TiVo recording "Say Anything" on its own ++
actually wanting to go to the gym ++
turtle neck and sweater weather ++
egg nog in coffee ++
the + list being longer than the - list +++

A wonderful dinner with two of my favourite ladies! Even the $35 parking ticket I found on my car when I got back to it wasn't enough to take the glow from the evening. Three and a half hours went by like the blink of an eye!

One thign I didn't have a chance to do that I meant to was to poll you guys about my moving plans: do you think I'm completely insane to be thinking about relocating overseas? You're two smart people, and I value your opinions.

for the record, yes, i think you're completely insane.
i worry that you're going there to find something you haven't found here, or to escape pain. i am afriad you will find it just as hard to find love and happiness there as here, except there you will be truly alone. at least here, you have us --- some within driving distance --- when you need in-person comfort and company.
my (unsolicited) advice is to examine closely and honestly the reasons you want to go, and the reasons you may want to stay.
