Thank you, tptb, for making absinthe legal in the US again. George introduced me to the modern version last summer. Bourbon, absinthe, Pernod, Angastora bitters, simple syrup, and a twist of lemon.
Now I just have to figure out what the leaf-shaped spoon they gave me at the liquor store with the absinthe does. I think I need sugar cubes. And a little green fairy.
*sorta. I am lacking Pernod and lemon. But close!
